Self-Reflection 2
This
essay was made as a reflection from the video named “Don’t live an empty life”
by Nouman Ali Khan. The presenter in the
video started his khutbah by mentioning about do not walk on the earth with pride
and arrogance. This phrase has given an idea about what the khutbah is all
about.
Do
not live an empty life means not be arrogant in life. Some people had this thought
that if they have the money, power and ability means that they can do
everything in the world as they please. The people who hold to this idea were
considered an impulsive person. An impulsive person means to do something without careful thought. It also gives meaning to people who do not have a
purpose in life. We must use all our blessings in the right ways. That also
means to be the people who give benefits to others.
The idea somehow is being reflected in the life that we are currently live right
now. Living in the current pandemic has been challenging for some people. As people who are not badly affected by the pandemic, they should contribute to
other people by helping them or give charity to those who are affected. From
this video, I am aspired to not be like an impulsive person because impulsive
is the form of arrogance. We should leave no space for arrogance in our life.
