What has I done for Islamic Dakwah?
When it comes to Islamic Dakwah, I always thinking that I am not qualified to give a preach to the society because I am nobody. But thinking about it again, we don't have to wait to be a pious or an ulama to give the dakwah . Your position in the society is just matter of preference. Delivering knowledge is an obligation to all humankind, just like what is stated in the hadith below :
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Convey (my teachings) to the people even if it were a single sentence, and tell others the stories of Bani Israel (which have been taught to you), for it is not sinful to do so. And whoever tells a lie on me intentionally, will surely take his place in the (Hell) Fire."
- Sahih al-Bukhari 3461
My contribution to the society for the past 19 years is I used to be the naqibah during my foundation year in IIUM Kuantan. It was a great experience for me! But I am disappointed with myself because I did not give my best to be the naqibah. Nevertheless, it was indeed an eye opener for me because I realized that Allah's knowledge is wide and extensive. I had gained more knowledge by sharing and exchanging the ilmu with my student/audience.
Other than that, I also teaching my younger siblings how to recite Al Quran at home. And alhamdulillah, both of them can read the Al Quran now :) I realized that it is my obligation as an older sister to guide them to the right path. Although that is just a small contribution, I hope they can benefit it through their entire life.
